Play Spider solitaire (two suits)
Play free two-suit Spider solitaire with spades and hearts: build in suit so runs can move, deal from a five-deal stock and complete eight runs.
Two-suit Spider is the natural next step after the one-suit game. The layout and the stock work the same way, but the 104 cards are now half spades and half hearts, so you have to think about which suit you build on if you want to move runs around later. Deal Spider Two Suits now and play it free on this page, with nothing to sign up for.
The round in progress is saved automatically in your browser. Spider Two Suits keeps its own statistics: rounds played, rounds won, best time and fewest moves for wins.
How to win
Assemble complete runs from King down to Ace in a single suit. When a column has a full same-suit run of 13 cards with the Ace on top, those cards leave the table for the foundation automatically. You need eight completed runs, four in spades and four in hearts, to clear all 104 cards and win.
Rules
The deal
- 104 cards: four sets of spades and four sets of hearts, each from Ace to King.
- Ten tableau columns. The first four get 6 cards, the other six get 5, which makes 54 cards. Only the top card of each column is face up.
- The other 50 cards form the stock: 5 deals of 10.
- The deal number is shown, so any deal can be replayed.
Moving cards
- Any card may go on a card one rank higher, whatever its suit: a 5♥ on a 6♠ is just as legal as a 5♠ on a 6♠.
- A run can be moved together only if it is in descending order and all one suit.
- Any card or valid run may fill an empty column.
Dealing from the stock
- Draw places one face-up card on each of the ten columns.
- Draw is not allowed while any column is empty.
Completed runs and the end of the round
- A complete same-suit run from King to Ace, with the Ace on top, is removed to the foundation automatically.
- Won: all eight runs completed (all 104 cards removed).
- Lost: the stock is empty and no legal move changes the position.
- Starting a new deal mid-round counts that round as abandoned.

Tips
- Build in suit whenever you can. A 7♥ on an 8♠ is legal, but those two cards can never move together as a run. Placing the 7♥ on an 8♥ instead keeps the whole sequence mobile.
- Mixed builds are still useful. An off-suit placement is fine when it uncovers a face-down card or frees a column. Just accept that the run is now split at the suit change.
- Split mixed runs at the suit change. A pile such as 9♠ 8♥ 7♥ can be moved in two steps: first the 8♥ 7♥ run, then the 9♠. Empty columns make this kind of untangling much easier.
- Keep an empty column if you can. Any card or run can go into it, so it is the best tool for sorting suits. Remember that you must fill every empty column before you are allowed to draw.
- Clear up before each draw. A draw covers every column with a new card. Join same-suit runs and make your uncovering moves first so less of your work gets buried.
- Reveal hidden cards. 44 of the 54 dealt cards start face down, and each one you uncover may be the card that completes a run.
